About the Shop

The fixtures in this shop have traveled the country, served presidents, burned in a fire, and been reunited. The wooden fixtures in this shop were initially built for the 1893 World’s Fair in Chicago. After the Fair, they went to New Orleans. In 1906, they were sold and half went to Texas where they saw almost 100 years of continuous use in a barbershop frequented by President Johnson while he was in college. The other half went to San Francisco and were destroyed in the 1906 earthquake and fire and haunted the city until Fellow Barber reunited the stations in 2013.

*Note: Temporary hours while the shop is undergoing a city-mandated retrofit for earthquake preparedness
